Paris features an efficient public transit network that makes traveling around the city fast and straightforward. Because taxis in France can be quite expensive, the metro serves as a great option for saving money on travel. It is the most convenient and frequently least costly way to get around the city. Tickets are valid across city buses, trams, and the RER train line.
